today as a recent course that I recommended
started out with a very low price point
of just $9.99

In case you missed it this was for Ewen Chia’s

Anyway I got quite a few emails from people
saying when they checked it out it the
price was $27!

(Even though I did mention in the email
that the price would be going up over
the weekend)

Anyway Ewen is a very good marketer and
this is a good tactic to boost sales when
you launch a new product.

You just start at a low launch price which
you then raise after a short period of
time.

2 Keys To Making This Work

1) Have a specific and short period of time
that you say you will raise the price.

This will let your potential customers
know where they stand and will motivate
them to buy right now.

Now if the time frame is too long, people
will procrastinate and could easily forget
the offer.

That’s why it should be short, 2 or 3 days
works really well.

2) Make sure you actually DO raise the price
when you said you would.

If you don’t then you will harm your credibility,
and people just won’t believe you in the future
when you say you are raising you’re prices etc.

Bonus Tactic

Simply do it twice!

In other words start off with your special,
low launch price for the first 2 or 3 days
then raise the price.

Only this time you will be raising the price
*again* in 2 or 3 days time.

This can get you an extra surge of sales
before you start selling your product
at the regular price point.

Now this sort of thing is common in the
IM (Internet Marketing) but don’t be fooled
that’s all these launch tactics are
limited to.

In fact they can work *much* better in smaller
niche markets where people aren’t used to seeing
the ‘IM’ type of marketing tactics.
